The Ford brand has been around ever since Henry Ford rolled out the first Model T back in 1908. A little about Ford history

Automotive pioneer Henry Ford built his first experimental car in a workshop behind his home in Detroit back in 1896. He created the first Ford car, the original model A, in 1903 and introduced a very successful Model T in 1908. In 1942, the Ford Motor Company temporarily stopped making civilian cars to focus on cars, planes and tanks for the US military. Ford introduced the first Thunderbird in 1953 and the first Ford Mustang in 1964.

In 1989, Ford acquired Jaguar, then Aston Martin became a wholly-owned subsidiary in 1993 and Hertz Car Rental joining the company in 1994. The first new Ford F-150 pickup was unveiled in 2004.

Awards and recognition

In 2017, the Ford F-150 for model year 2018 received the Motor TrendTruck of the Year Award. In addition to that award, the F-150 was also was honored as the North American Truck of the Year and the Car Connection Best Car to Buy. Most recently, Ford received four J.D. Power awards for outstanding car dealership sales and service.

A preview of coming Ford attractions for 2024

For 2024, one of the real highlights will be the new Ranger Raptor. It will be an off-road powerhouse that will come with a muscular suspension system with lightweight aluminum control arms as well as long-travel rear suspension. The 2024 Ford Mustang will strengthen its stature as a premier gasolinepowered muscle car. The 2024 Ford Explorer is expected to reinvent its class with a new, more aggressive design and a more prominent grille.

The Ford F-150 will continue its dominance with a new portrait-style infotainment display screen and plenty of powerful engines. The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport will continue to light up the off-road landscape with impressive off-road capability and rewarding fuel efficiency. The new Bonco Sport might even offer a hybrid powertrain.
